Beginner Class: Intro to Beekeeping - El Paso & Las Cruces
Interested in honey bees, pollinators, or starting beekeeping someday? This beginner-friendly Intro to Beekeeping class is a simple 2-hour introduction for people in El Paso, Las Cruces, Southern New Mexico, and Far West Texas who want to learn the basics before taking the next step.
This class is shorter and more introductory than our full multi-week course. If you are looking for the more complete beginner course with weekly lessons, hands-on hive inspections, honey extraction, and mentorship, please visit our Full Course: Intro to Beekeeping - El Paso & Las Cruces.
About This Beginner Beekeeping Class
The Paseo del Norte Beekeepers Association offers this beginner class as a simple and welcoming introduction to honey bees, pollinators, and beekeeping in our local region. It is designed for people who are curious about bees, interested in helping pollinators, or wondering whether beekeeping may be right for them.
This is not meant to replace a full beginner beekeeping course. Instead, it gives participants a clear first look at what honey bees do, how a colony works, what beekeepers actually do, and what it takes to care for bees responsibly.
