Texas Master Beekeeper Exam
PDNBKA was proud to host the Texas Master Beekeeper Program (TMBP) Apprentice exam in El Paso on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in partnership with Texas A&M AgriLife.
We are happy to share that all 11 exam takers passed the Apprentice Level exam — a 100% pass rate. This was an outstanding result and a testament to the dedication of our local beekeepers and the strength of our training and mentorship community.
We are incredibly proud of everyone who participated and took this important step in their beekeeping journey.

Local PDNBKA Prep Class (2025)
To support exam candidates, PDNBKA hosted a free local training session prior to the exam:
- Date: Saturday, September 20, 2025
- Time: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Location: Mustard Seed Café, El Paso
- Instructors: Bob Reneau & Vk Mel
The session focused on bee biology, hive management, pests and diseases, safety, and practical exam readiness. We’re grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to the collaborative learning environment.
Looking Ahead to 2026
We are already looking forward to hosting the Texas Master Beekeeper Program exams again in El Paso in 2026.
Planned exam levels for 2026:
- Apprentice
- Advanced
PDNBKA plans to continue offering local training and preparatory opportunities to help members succeed at every level of the program.
